The CET Sports Inline Hockey Arena will be hosting the 15th Annual Tour Inline Hockey Camp this summer from July 8th - 11th, 2012. This camp is the ultimate inline hockey experience, providing overnight lodging, meals, and transportation for all participants.
The cost for the camp is $325 per camper ($275 commuter rate includes lunch and dinner). This price includes:
1.) Three nights lodging and breakfast at The Academy Hotel;
2.) Lunch and dinner will be served daily at the ISPN Zone (upstairs at the CET Arena);
3.) Busing transportation between The Academy Hotel and rink.
The camp will consist of two age groups: 9-11 and 12-15 years old. From there each age group is split into an intermediate and advanced division. Each age division will focus on developing various individual skills, covering offensive and defensive techniques, and game situational drills. Each camper will receive over 6 hours of rink instruction during the day, plus evening games after dinner.
The Tour Inline Hockey Camp is open to all players within these age groups, regardless of playing ability. Every year, this camp includes participants from different areas of the country, and gives everyone an opportunity to make lasting friendships with new players they meet.
How can we register?
Registrations for the camp are taken in two ways:
1.) Click HERE to register online and make a payment with a credit or debit card.
2.) You may call the CET Sports Arena at (719) 597-1235 and register over the phone with a credit or debit card.
Is the camp co-ed?
Absolutely! The camp is open to both boys and girls. Female campers are assigned rooms with other female campers within the same age group. Also, adult female chaperones are available 24-7 to assist female campers as needed. There is 1 adult chaperone for every 10 campers.
How are the rooms arranged?
We have blocked off several floors of rooms at The Academy Hotel. Each room will include two queen-size beds, and will accomodate up to 4 campers. Roommate requests will be granted as best as possible, but please be sure to list roommate requests on the registration form.
How does the transportation work?
Busing transportation is provided by Skate City. We use two Skate City Fun Buses to shuttle players and equipment between The Academy Hotel and the rink. Commuters will need to be dropped off at the appropriate rink location no later than 8 a.m., and picked up in the evening at the appropriate rink, after evening games have finished (usually around 9 p.m.).
Is all the hockey played at the CET Sports Arena?
No. In addition to playing at the CET Sports Arena, we will also be playing at the Skate City location at 1920 N. Academy Blvd. While one age group is playing at the CET Sports Arena, the other age group will be playing at Skate City. A detailed camp itenerary will be made available at the start of camp.
What hockey equipment does my player need to have?
In addition to skates, each player needs to bring two hockey sticks, and all protective gear (helmet, gloves, shinguards, elbow pads, and girdle). Each player will also need hockey pants, as well as light and dark colored jerseys. IMPORTANT: Players also need to bring enough long socks to wear during skating (we recommend at least 10 pair).
What else does my player need to bring?
Each camper should pack several changes of clothes (for at least 4 days). Be sure to include toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, body soap, shampoo, deodorant etc.). All towels, wash cloths, and linens will be provided by the hotel. Campers should also bring their swimming attire, as each age group will be given an hour for swimming fun everyday. Finally, we recommend that each camper has about $10 per day of spending cash.
What if my child takes medication?
Any campers that require medication must notify the camp director. All prescription or over-the-counter medication will be administered by the camp director. Campers with asthma, diabetes, or severe allergies should have all insulin, inhalers, or epi-pens placed in a clear ziploc back with the camper's name labeled on it. Tour Hockey Camp staff will keep take these medications to and from the rink, and will keep them available in the event that campers need to use them.
